Liverpool still could keep Joe Cole

Liverpool could still keep Joe Cole, despite the player's successful loan spell at French champions Lille. Cole admitted that he would like to stay at Lille if the opportunity presents itself.

The 30 year old midfielder only played 9 times for Liverpool last year, and subsequently completed a move to Lille on loan.


Kenny Dalglish is not sure if a permanent move will be agreed though.


"He has never spoken to me. I don't know anything about it," said King Kenny.


"I know they won 2-0 against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League and the lad hit the post and is playing well — but he's been playing well most of the time.


"It is great for Joe he is doing so well but beyond that I don't know of anything that has happened."
