Arsenal also linked with Olivier Giroud

As exclusively revealed earlier in the week, Olivier Giroud is being chased by Premier League side Newcastle; however a report from France today suggest that Arsenal could also make a bid.

The talented French forward currently plays for Ligue 1 leaders Montpellier, and has played over 50 games for the club since arriving from Tours in 2010. Giroud has also been in prolific form, helping his side to 23 goals in that time.


It appears that his form has not gone unnoticed by some of the Premier League's biggest clubs, and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has asked Gilles Grimandi, his club scout, to prepare a report on Giroud.
