Spurs manager admits European failure
After Tottenham's surprise 2-1 defeat to Greek side PAOK Salonika in the Europa League yesterday, Spurs manager Harry Redknapp admitted that his club look likely to face an early European exit.
PAOK Salonika's ten men battled bravely against Spurs, and a surprise 2-1 victory for the Greek side leaves Spurs second from bottom in their group, just behind Russian side Rubin Kazan.
"I am disappointed now because we are not going to be in the last 32," Redknapp said.
"I wanted to stay in the competition but it wasn't to be. It is very difficult now. Full credit to the opposition, they worked hard and looked dangerous."
