Wenger admits RVP gamble
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admits that playing Robin van Persie every game is always a huge risk, as the notoriously injury prone player continues to play a big part of most games this season for the Gunners.
The player is looking to break a record in Arsenal's next home game. Two goals would see Robin van Persie's goal tally for 2011 break Alan Shearer's previous best, and Arsene Wenger looks set to play the Dutchman against Wolves on December 27th.
"He keeps going", Wenger said of Van Persie after the match.
"Of course you always have that question when he plays against Manchester City and then again with that intensity, do I rest him?
"At the moment he feels alright so I just take a gamble.
"Now we have a little breather to prepare for our home game and let’s hope we can win then."
