Bordeaux to make offer for Chamakh?
French club Bordeaux are expected to make an end of January move for Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh; just after the struggling Moroccan forward had reportedly been told that he is free to leave the Emirates Stadium.
Chamakh has found life very difficult since arriving at Arsenal from Bordeaux, and now his former club are expected to make an offer to bring the forward back to France. The form of Robin van Persie has meant that Chamakh has spent time on the substitutes bench; and despite that the forward has not taken his opportunity well when Arsene Wenger has called on him for the first team.
The striker would be allowed to quit Arsenal for as little as 4.5m GBP, according to reports from France; but one stumbling block could be the striker's salary, believed to be in the region of 85,000 GBP per week.
