QPR deal for Brazilian defender Alex falls through
Queens Park Rangers' move for Chelsea defender Alex appears to have fallen through. The centre back failed to agree terms with the club, and it seems that Paris St Germain are now in pole position to land the former PSV Eindhoven player.
Alex's reported wage demands of 90,000 GBP per week scared off Mark Hughes' side, who were only prepared to offer around 75,000 per week. Subsequently, a deal taking the defender away from Stamford Bridge to QPR appears to be over.
QPR manager Mark Hughes will now turn his attention to Arsenal defender Sebastien Squillaci, who has reportedly been made available for loan by the Gunners.
