Chelsea chasing Paul Pogba

Chelsea have submitted an offer for midfielder Paul Pogba this morning, believed to be int he region of 3 million GBP. The French midfielder's contract with Man Utd expires at the end of the season, and Sir Alex Ferguson has been unable to persuade the player to agree a new deal.

At the beginning of the season, Ferguson admitted that he would have to play the midfielder more regularly this season but so far the United boss has barely used Pogba apart from in the League Cup tournament.


Inter Milan were believed to be leading the race for the youngster's signature, but Chelsea have stormed into pole position after Andre Villas-Boas made an official offer.
