Ajax chief admits Vertonghen exit likely

Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen looks set to quit the Dutch side for a move to a bigger league, as the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham remain interested in the Belgium international centre back.
Vertonghen has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, and it looks likely that a move will be completed this summer.
"When there's a club that he's already interested in - and it's really got to be a good club - then he will leave. It's 100 per cent sure," manager Frank de Boer said.
"I think he's ready to make a next step. For us, it's a setback, of course, to miss that kind of quality player."
