Chelsea want Baptista

Real Madrid's Brazilian striker Julio Baptista is being linked with a return to the Premiership as Chelsea are reportedly weighing up making a move for 'the Beast'. AC Milan had earlier made a move for the striker on loan, but Baptista has impressed in recent games for Real.

DiarioSport says Real are ready to sell Baptista in January and the Brazil international's agent, Herminio Menendez, has spoken with representatives of Chelsea in recent days.

Baptista had an unimpressive spell with Arsenal last year, but the player has undoubted talent and scored a couple of great goals in La Liga this year.
