Mikel Arteta to miss remaining Arsenal games

Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta will miss the remaining games of the Premier League season, after the former Everton man severely damaged his ankle against Wigan in a 2-1 defeat this week.

Arteta hobbled off early on in that game, and is now expected to miss the remainder of the season through injury.


According to reports, Arsene Wenger is unhappy that his medical team allowed Arteta to play on, despite severely injuring his ankle.


Unfortunately for the Gunners, both Wigan goals were scored when Arteta was off of the pitch receiving medical treatment.
