Newcastle target Debuchy stays at Lille

Newcastle target Mathieu Debuchy has no plans to quit Lille in the January transfer window. The French international defender has been persistently linked with a move away from France.

But Debuchy remains focused on his current job at Lille and has no plans to quit this coming winter transfer window.


"I will not be leaving the team in the middle of the championship", said the 27-year-old at a press conference.


"I don’t like the winter transfer window. In the future you never know what can happen. I prefer not to think about it."
