Schalke 04's star attacking midfielder has put pen to paper on a four year contract with Tottenham Hotspur once his contract expires in the summer.
The German international had been linked with a move to Arsenal, but instead decided to join bitter rivals Tottenham.
Holtby is very highly rated in his homeland and has earned himself three caps for his country.
Holtby is no stranger to English football and is believed to be an Everton fan, whilst his father is also an Englishman who served in the army in Germany, where he would later meet Holtby's mother.
