Newcastle hunting Gaetan Bong

Newcastle United will make a move for Valenciennes defender Gaetan Bong. The Cameroon international is highly rated in Ligue 1 and the Toon Army want to add a centre back to their squad in the January transfer window.

Jean-Raymond Legrand - the French side's president said: "Newcastle are very interested, they have made an offer. We will wait and see. But I will not sell players unless I can replace them."


Newcastle already completed the signing of Mathieu Debuchy this month, but want to add more players to their squad in the transfer window.
