Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko is open to a move away from the club in the January transfer window. Premier League rivals Arsenal are amongst the teams interested in his services, but it appears the Bosnian international would like a return to the Bundesliga.

City signed Dzeko from Wolfsburg in 2011, and the striker has struggled to dislodge the likes of Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez from their first team places. Even six goals off the bench this season hasn't been enough to persuade manager Roberto Mancini that the forward should be the first striker on his team sheet.

Such lack of playing time at City has meant the forward is now reconsidering his future, and yesterday in a very open interview the striker confirmed that he would look to leave the club if the right offer is made in the transfer window.

"Anything is possible. I wouldn't rule out leaving now or in the summer, but I’m trying not to think about it," said Dzeko.

"It is up to me to try to use the opportunities I am being given at City - everything else is beyond my powers at the moment.

"Honestly, I'm not thinking about specific clubs now, but I would like to return to Germany.

"It's too early to speak about that at the moment. I am a City player right now and I don’t see a reason to talk about anything else, but yes, I love the Bundesliga and would love to go back there sometime."
