Liverpool deny Sneijder interest
Liverpool have denied that they are interested in Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder. The Inter Milan player has been linked with an exit all month, but it appears the Reds will not be his next destination.
There have been many links with a move to the Premier League club, and yesterday in the Premier League transfer betting odds Liverpool moved into favourite spot to secure his signature.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers said: “I couldn’t see that happening. Daniel Sturridge was our main priority, so we’ll see what else is available.”
Galatasaray had already made an offer that had been accepted for the midfielder, only for a collapse in talks after Sneijder demanded a similar package to what he is earning in Italy.
It appears that Arsenal are also one of the favourites for his signature, as Arsene Wenger yesterday promised to make a move for world class players in the January transfer window.
