Swansea City could keep Danny Graham
Swansea manager Michael Laudrup took a minute to clarify Danny Graham's future at the club, in light of transfer interest from Sunderland. The burly forward has been linked with a transfer North to the Black Cats in the January transfer window.
However, it is understood that no offer has been made for the player yet despite much newspaper speculation regarding his future at the club.
Swansea ironically travel to play Sunderland this week and much has been made of a potential transfer for the striker.
“If a club really want someone – and they’ve had one month – why would they wait until the last 24 hours?" said Laudrup.
“The clubs who have put in bids have not been anywhere near good enough. And Danny has not said officially that he wants to leave. That means he will probably stay. Buying a player on January 31 smells too much like panic. We absolutely don’t need to panic here. We won’t buy anyone. If someone comes in, then it will be on loan. If I wanted to buy, I would have done it before now.”
