Tottenham rule out striker move

Tottenham are unlikely to sign a striker before the transfer window closes. Spurs had been linked with a move for either Leandro Damiao - a long term target - as well as Barcelona forward David Villa.

"At the moment I have told you that we are willing to take a risk on Jermain Defoe's injury. Defoe played 90 minutes and played very well.


"No, I don't think so," continued Villas-Boas.


Spurs are currently not short of options though, as Emmanuel Adebayor is also available.
