Tottenham desperate to sign Benteke
Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has made Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke his number one target for the summer. The forward has been a revelation since arrving at Villa Park.
The player has been outstanding since completing a £7 million move from Racing Genk last season; with the player single handedly keeping the Villans safe from the threat of relegation.
Spurs are believed to be ready to make some big changes in the summer, with Jermain Defoe told that he is free to leave and Emmanuel Adebayor's future at the club remains uncertain.
The Belgium international is also being tracked by Arsenal, who are not put off by the reported £20 million pricetag. Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has warned clubs that they will have to pay big money for the burly forward.
