Andy Carroll to return to Newcastle?
Liverpool forward Andy Carroll could be set for an emotional return to Newcastle once his loan spell with West Ham is completed. Carroll will take a paycut to return to join Alan Pardew's side.
Carroll effectively has been told his career at Anfield is all but over, and he is free to join West Ham or any other club that is able to match Liverpool's valuation of the striker. That figure is believed to be in the region of about £14 million, some way short of the price that they originally paid for the England international.
The striker has always had an affinity for the Newcastle faithful, despite those fans' aggressive behaviour towards the striker after he left St. James Park.
Carroll is currently earning a reported £100,000 per week at Anfield and would be prepared to take a pay cut to around £55,000 per week to join the Toon Army once again.
