Pardew promises performance against Arsenal
Alan Pardew has promised that he will send his team out to win the important game against Arsenal this weekend. There have been reports that Newcastle's non-playing staff will earn 1m GBP extra should they beat the Gunners.
Alan Pardew last week told reporters that the game is no longer important to him as he has already guaranteed his club's Premier League status. However, the boss was quick to laugh off those last comments.
"Reporters took my little joke suggesting we didn't care about this game out of context," states Pardew. "I can assure everyone that we are determined to be at our best against Arsenal, as we owe our supporters a strong display after our last two performances at St James' Park fell a long way short of the standards we have set."
