Fiorentina after Christian Benteke

Fiorentina are the latest club to have been linked with a transfer for Belgium international forward Christian Benteke. Tottenham were the favourites to sign the powerful forward, but now the Serie A side have expressed an interest.

The Aston Villa striker has been a revelation in his first year in the Premier League, therefore several teams have all now been linked with a move for the player.


The player's agent confirmed interest from Fiorentina: "There were representatives of Fiorentina during games at the end of the season.


“They are one of many clubs who have an interest, but we are waiting to hold more talks with Aston Villa when Christian finishes playing with the national team and comes back from a holiday."
