Mano Menezes Appointed New Coach For Flamengo

Former Brazil coach, Mano Menezes has been entrusted with the Brazilian Serie A club Flamengo. This would be Menezes first assignment after having been sacked last year in November in the hopes of building a team with new methods and new planning ahead of 2014 World Cup.

A club statement made his appointment public:
"Flamengo can confirm the hiring of coach Mano Menzes",

"The board would like to put on record its appreciation of Rubro-Negro fans for supporting the club through the process"


Menezes has expressed his pride in taking the baton for the club but judging by the current chaotic situations of the club, that has already hired 3 managers this year, it sure looks like a roller coaster ride ahead of Mano.


"We must compete better against our opponents, and if we can improve our togetherness as a club, the Rubro-Negro will be much stronger" - Mano Menezes said to the club's official website.


Flamengo is currently ranked at 14th place in Brasileiro.
