Spaniard and Barcelona forward David Villa abstains from talking about his further plans with the club until after Spain's Confederations Cup campaign. Amidst all the hustle and bustle in the Premier League clubs regarding the 31 year old dandy striker, Villa chose to give himself sometime to contemplate over his options.

David Villa has only a year left on his contract with the Camp Nou and the future prospects of the club giving him a re-signing offer seems highly improbable with Neymar coming in and the sudden interest of Barcelona in striker Fernando Torres. Villa has also struggled to get back in form and fitness after having gone through a major injury in December 2011. Needless to say, that the Spanish international must have had some thoughts pertaining to his role in the team, though he wants to wait until the end of Confederations Cup.

Villa has repeatedly affirmed his faith and love for his present club, "I have a contract with Barca and I have always said that I am very happy here."

Even though Villa's future at Camp Nou seems gloomy, English clubs like Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverepool do have him on their shopping list, albeit subject to conditions. Tottenham have initiated a 10million pounds talk for Villa and even Athletico Madrid look upon him as an ideal replacement for Radamel Falcao.

Arsenal, who earlier this year made efforts to sign Villa, may give it a thought again despite new manager Arsene Wenger's eagerness to bring in younger forwards like Higuain and Rooney. Liverpool might be another one on the list, with the club already struggling to retain Luis Suarez against the tempting Real Madrid.
