Portsmouth's Kranjcar praised
Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has praised Nico Kranjcar for his performances this season, and claimed he is just like Robert Prosinecki. Kranjcar has been one of Portsmouth's star performers from midfield this year.
The 23-year-old Croatian playmaker had struggled last season after his 2006 summer switch to Fratton Park from Hajduk Split.
However, he has made a stunning improvement to take a permanent role in the Pompey midfield as Redknapp's side also enjoy being in the top half of the table.
âHeâs been in a great run of form,â Redknapp said.
âHeâs had a run in the side and made that place wide on the left his own.
âHeâs got silky skills and the ability to change direction and produce something special. Nikoâs got real quality and class â the Croatians seem to produce those kind of players.
âHe reminds me a bit of Robert Prosinecki who was here when I first came to the club. If Nikoâs anywhere near as good as him then heâll be a fantastic player.â
