Sunderland want Ibrahima Mbaye

Inter defender Ibrahima Mbaye is currently wanted by Sunderland, Monaco, Bologna, Livorno and Palermo as confirmed by his agent.

The Senegalese centre-back is still at a tender age of just 18, but has already caught the eye at the San Siro as well as other top clubs.

“We had a meeting with Inter and it’s true that Sunderland are interested in Mbaye,” agent Giuseppe Accardi told FCInterNews.

“However, right now Inter have taken him off the market. He also received offers from Monaco, Bologna, Palermo and Livorno, but Inter always turned them down.

“I believe he ought to play regularly, so after the pre-season training camp we’ll evaluate the situation and see what is best. I’d prefer a year on loan to gain experience.”
