Rooney loves Tevez link-up
Wayne Rooney has praised his partnership with Carlos Tevez as the two continue to link up to grab some important goals for Man Utd. Rooney has scored six in the Redsâ last five matches, whilst Tevez grabbed a brace at the weekend.
After the victory over Middlesbrough, Rooney told MUTV: âPlaying with Carlos is brilliant.
âHeâs a clever player, very intelligent, and I think we both work well together. Weâve both been scoring a few goals lately so weâre pleased with that.â
Rooney and Tevez shone throughout the match, with the crowning moment arriving in the 55th minute when Tevez fired home after collecting a sumptuous return pass from the England international.
âThe best way to play football is pass and move and as soon as Carlos gave me the ball I could see him starting his run out of the corner of my eye. He got on the end of my backheel and Iâm delighted for him to have scored two today. Heâs worked very hard over the last two games and he deserves those goals.â
