Man City want Skjelbred
Per Cilian Skjelbred is being chased by Man City. Local rivals Man Utd have already been listed as potential suitors for the 20-year-old Rosenborg midfielder, however, it seems Sven-Goran Eriksson is keen to add the youngster to his shopping list in January.
Skjelbred has appeared once for Norway, and is one of Rosenborg's most prodigious talents.
Skjelbred's agent Andreas Ekker has denied interest from Man Utd: "I don't know anything about that [United's interest].
"There will always be interest for a player like Per, but previously interest has come from Germany, Netherlands and Italy."
However, Man City's scouting network has been keeping a close eye on the development of Skjelbred and matching Rosenborg's asking price of £2.5m is thought to be no stumbling block for the move to England.
