Christian Benteke demands Aston Villa exit

Belgium international goal getter Christian Benteke has reportedly handed in a transfer request. The Aston Villa striker scored a handy 19 goals in 34 league games last year and is attracting the interest of Tottenham.

The striker is reportedly unhappy that the Villans are not showing enough ambition in the transfer market, despite having brought in 5 new faces this summer.


Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is a huge fan of the Belgian international and wants to bring Benteke to the club as new first choice striker.


Emmanuel Adebayor has been linked with a surprise move to Turkish giants Besiktas leaving Benteke as the first choice replacement for the Togo international.
