Real Madrid make massive offer for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti wants to sign Chilean international midfielder Arturo Vidal from Juventus. It is understood that the Spanish side are set to offer around £36 million for the player who helped the Italian side to the Serie A title last year.
The 22-year-old, who joined the Turin side back in 2011, has gone on to play over 60 Serie A games and scored 17 goals. Last season Vidal proved to be one of the most important members of Juve's squad, as he bagged 10 Serie A goals.
Real Madrid are under pressure to spend big and invest in their squad for the new season ahead, and Ancelotti wants to partner Vidal with new signing Asier Illarramendi in the middle of the team's midfield. It is understood that Vidal will be brought in to replace Xabi Alonso, who has been persistently linked with a return to England. Alonso could make a move to Chelsea, and a deal for Vidal could depend on the next destination of the former Liverpool midfielder.
