Feyenoord target Arsenal youngster
Arsenal's Japanese starlet Ryo Miyaichi may leave the Emirates without making a first team appearance as the winger has caught the attention of Feyenoord manager Ronald Koeman.
Koeman was managing Rotterdam during the Japanese winger's loan spell in July, 2011, has singled out the player, who was named ‘Ryodinho’ by media in the Netherlands.
Miyaichi had his initial loan spell was with Eredivisie side Feyenoord in 2011, he has been on two more loan outings with Bolton and Wigan Athletic. His last spell on loan ended prematurely due to an ankle injury suffered in an FA cup clash against Everton. He has failed to impress since his loan move to Feyenoord,and has just contributed 1 goal and 5 assists in 21 appearances since 2011.
During his time at Dutch side Feyenoord, he was a different player as he notched up 3 goals and 5 assists in 12 appearances which led to the local media calling him the 'Japanese Messi'.
Koeman is now interested in having the starlet back at the Dutch club, "It's right we are also working on Ryo Miyaichi, but at the moment it's not clear what the situation is," the former Dutch player told NuSport. ”After that, we can make a step. It's not that far yet."
