Arsenal rule out offer for Cesc Fabregas

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has ruled out a transfer for Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas. The player has reportedly been linked with a move to Man Utd and Barcelona have no plans to sell the Spain international.

Arsenal have the first option on Fabregas, and Wenger has revealed that the player won't be leaving the Nou Camp this year.


"Fabregas has decided to stay one more year at Barcelona," Wenger explained. "Unless he has changed his mind, I don't know... but that's what I've been told.


“We have the [first-option] clause in the contract so we would be on alert but at the moment that's not something we're after."
