Danny Graham set for Hull City loan switch

Hull City will complete a move for Sunderland striker Danny Graham next week, as Hull manager Steve Bruce has agreed a deal in principle with the Black Cats to bring the former Swansea striker to the KC Stadium.

Having seen their efforts to sign Arsenal's striker Nicklas Bendtner fail due to the Danish striker's massive salary, manager Steve Bruce decided to sign 27-year-old Graham instead.

The Gateshead born striker has initially struggled to reproduce the form that persuaded Sunderland to spend big money on the forward, as he played 11 Premier League games and failed to hit the back of the net.

"We're very close and we're hopeful we can get it done before the weekend," Bruce told The Hull Daily Mail.

"It looks as though there's a deal to be done with Sunderland and that's now in the hands of our chief executive.

"All the talks have been encouraging but we'll have to wait and see now. We hope we can get something done soon.

"As I've admitted, he's a player I like and it would be a big boost to our squad to have someone like Danny join."
