Martino strong favorite to become Barca manager

Gerardo Martino has emerged as the outstanding favorite to take over the managerial job at Barcelona this summer after Tito Vilanova stepped down after a relapse of his cancer. 

Barcelona have been in the look lout for a new manager after the club announced in a press conference days earlier that Tito Vilanova won't be able to continue due to health reasons. 


Plenty of managers have already been linked with the job but it seems that Martino is the likeliest to become the next boss at Camp Nou. 


Barcelona star Lionel Messi has backed the 50 year old for the job and event the club captain Carles Puyol spoke highly of the former Paraguay manager. 


Guus Hiddink have also been seriously linked with the job after he stepped down from his position at Anzhi earlier yesterday leading to widespread speculation that the Dutchman is set to become the next Barcelona boss.
