Liverpool monitoring Christian Atsu

Liverpool are currently the situation around Porto star Christian Atsu. Liverpool manager earlier this summer failed in sorting out a deal for the Ghanian International and now faces a battle to land top target with Primeira Liga giants Benfica also interested on the player.

The Reds boss Rodgers wants to sign the Christian Atsu as he looks to add more firepower to his attack front and the wide man was speculated to be close to an Anfield switch. However, Liverpool ran into problems with Porto over a transfer fee for the player.


The Primeira Liga champions have set an asking price in the region of £6m, as the 21-year-old Ghanian international wants to leave the club for a move elsewhere.
