Martin Jol looking for a new striker
Fulham boss Martin Jol has admitted that the club are looking for a new striker to provide cover for Bulgarian forward Dimitar Berbatov.
Fulham finished last season 12th in the Premier League but after a takeover by American billionaire Shahid Khan, they are aiming for a higher finish next season.
The Cottagers have already brought in Dutch goalkeeper Maarten Sketelenburg and recently added former Lens midfielder Ange-Freddy Plumain to the squad.
Jol told the club's official website :
"We need pace and a little bit of quality. Berbatov was good, but he can't do everything and we needed to get in behind.
"We will try to get someone up front. We need a few more goals. Since Clint Dempsey left we do not have enough goals in us, so we are working every day to get someone in.
"We have some high-quality players in consideration and we would like another midfielder as well."
