Crystal Palace to sign Marouane Chamakh on loan
Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh could make a surprise loan move to Crystal Palace; according to reports Ian Holloway has made a surprise approach for the French forward. Chamakh has been told he has no future at the Emirates.
The Gunners are eager to get Chamakh off of the wage bill and are even prepared to pay 50 percent of his salary to see through a deal to Selhurst Park for the 29-year-old striker.
Chamakh spent a short time on loan at West Ham last year but the Hammers decided against making a permanent move for the former Bordeaux frontman.
Arsenal are hopeful that a new striker can be signed this summer, with Liverpool forward Luis Suarez favourite to move to the Emirates. With yet another striker on the books at Arsenal, Chamakh will move even further down the pecking order.
