Federico Fernandez on West Brom's radar
West Brom manager Steve Clarke is in contact with Napoli manager Rafa Benitez regarding a move for 24-year-old centre back Federico Fernandez. The former Getafe and Estudiantes defender is available for loan this summer.
The Argentina international, who has 18 caps to his name, spent the majority of last season on loan at Spanish side Getafe; since then he has gone on to attract the interest of several other teams including Tottenham, Newcastle and Valencia.
Fernandez is likely to join West Brom though, as Steve Clarke has promised the defender that he will an important member of the first team this coming season.
WBA will pay a fee of around €400,000 to secure the signing and will pay the entire salary of the player.
