Buttner's agent confirms Man Utd's interest in Baines
Manchester United's current second choice left back Alexander Buttner could be heading for a summer exit as the player's agent confirmed that United are interested in Everton left back Leighton Baines.
David Moyes is known to be a huge fan of Leighton Baines, a player who he purchased and developed at Everton; it is thought that Man Utd will eventually make a move for the talented England international.
Now, Alexander Buttner's agent Alexander Bursac has confirmed that there is a strong chance of a transfer for the Everton full back.
"Moyes knows Baines very well, so he will play if he joins Everton. A transfer from Evra to Monaco did not go through. If Evra leaves, Moyes wants Baines. Baines is an English international, 28 years old and more experienced," Bursac quipped.
"If Baines arrives, the chances [for Buttner] to play are even less than last year. That would be a shame, because Alex wants to play for the Dutch national team next season."
