Chelsea youngster Cuevas loaned out to Vitesse

Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem have announced the signing of Chelsea youngster Cristian Cuevas on a season long loan deal.

The 18 year old Chilean made the move to Stamford Bridge earlier in July and has now been shipped out to Vitesse to get some first team experience.


The youngster was closely followed by Blues officials during his successful stint in the U 20 Chilean national team and eventually signed a five year contract with the Premier League club.


A statement on Vitesse's website read: "Cuevas is known as a great talent.


"The left-footed player can operate anywhere along the left side."


Cuevas will join fellow Chelsea team mates Gael Kakuta and Patrick van Aanholt at the GelreDome.
