Bernard completes Shakhtar Donetsk transfer
Brazilian youngster Bernard has completed a long awaited move to Shakhtar Donetsk. The forward, who had been linked with moves to both Arsenal and Tottenham in recent weeks, has put pen to paper on a five year contract in the Ukraine.
The player arrives for a reported 25 million Euros and will earn a massive 5 million Euros per year for the duration of his contract with the ambitious Ukrainian side. Bernard had been brought in as a replacement for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who joined Borussia Dortmund earlier in the transfer window.
The 20-year-old Brazilian international has played five times for his country and is hopeful that a successful season in Europe will improve his chances for a place in Brazil's World Cup squad.
