Arsenal target Suarez forced to train alone
Luis Suarez has been told he must train alone away from the Liverpool first team after what manager Brendan Rodgers labeled the Urugayan's behaviour as "total disrespect" to Liverpool football club. Arsenal are hoping to wrap up a deal for Suarez before the end of the transfer window.
The 26-year-old claims that Liverpool would let him leave if his club did not qualify for the Champions League. It appears that it does not explicitly state this in Suarez's contract, but there may have been some gentleman's agreement made with the club regarding qualification for this coming season's European showpiece tournament.
Rodgers has now told Suarez that he must train alone.
"There were no promises made - categorically none - and no promises broken. The club and his representatives had several conversations and he knew exactly where he was at," quipped Rodgers.
"There has been total disrespect of the club - a club that has given him everything.
"I will take strong, decisive action, absolutely. I think Luis knows the support he's had at the football club and that's something that's been unswerving throughout the whole of last season."
