West Ham scouting Nicolai Jorgensen?

West Ham scouts have been preparing a dossier for Sam Allarydce regarding the career progress of FC Copenhagen's forward Nicolai Jorgensen. The Danish international joined his current club from Bayer Leverkusen in 2012.

Whilst the Hammers have been linked with a move for Salomon Kalou as a partner for their current striker, Andy Carroll, it appears that Kalou's lofty salary demands have put off West Ham and Allardyce's side are now looking elsewhere for new squad additions. Kalou had been very close to completing a move to Upton Park but there appeared to be some disagreements over clauses in his contract.

Since the deal for Kalou appears to be dead in the water, the Hammers have frantically been looking for a new addition to their squad in the attacking department and Jorgensen is available for a relatively low fee. Copenhagen are believed to have valued the forward at approximately 7.5 million Euros.

Jorgensen helped himself to eight goals in 19 games last year for the Danish side.

It is understood that further transfer talks will take place between the Hammers and Copenhagen in the next week.
