Arsenal youngster Miquel joins Leicester on loan

Arsenal young defender Ignasi Miquel has left the Emirates to join Championship club Leicester City on loan for the next season.

The 20 year old's first team chances has been limited to Cup games and only made on appearance in the Premier League last season.


The versatile defender has played as a left back for Arsene Wenger as well in the center of defense. 


Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson expressed delight at having secured the Spain U 21 international's services for this season.


Pearson told the club's website: "Ignasi is a centre-back with lots of potential and he will give us another option in defence.


"He's very enthusiastic and delighted to be here, which is a big part of taking players on loan for us.


"We'll see how he is with regard to availability and whether he will be part of the squad for Sunday's game against Leeds."
