Saint-Etienne confirm interest in West Ham's Modibo Maiga
Saint-Etienne President Roland Romeyer has confirmed that the French Ligue 1 side are interested in acquiring the services of West Ham United striker Modibo Maiga.
Les Verts are currently in the transfer market looking for a new striker following the sale of their star player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.
Romeyer told beIN Sport : "Maiga is a player we have studied.
"Maiga is one of the options we have looked at but there are other players. We will make a signing as soon as possible."
The Malian International joined the Hammers last summer from French side Sochaux-Montbéliard on a four-year deal.
