Barlow: I don't want Wigan job
Wigan's caretaker manager Frank Barlow has insisted that he has no interest in becoming the Latics' boss on a full-time basis. The 61-year-old is reportedly happy in a backseat role at the club.
But the 61-year old ahead of the club's Sunday game at Tottenham said: "I will not throw my hat into the ring. I don't like doing the interviews part."
Graeme Souness, Peter Reid, Joe Royle, Alex McLeish, former Wigan boss Paul Jewell and Swansea City's Spanish manager Roberto Martinez have all been linked to have interest in the job.
However the Latics are apparently in no hurry to name the new manager and according to chief executive, Brenda Spencer, they might install a successor to Hutchings, leading to November 24 game against Arsenal.
Barlow added: "Chris asked me to come to the club so I am fully aware of my position and I will just take what comes.
"I am not on my own at the moment. The backroom staff here are one of the main assets of the club. They are very much together."
