Willian set to sign for Chelsea
Chelsea are set to sign Brazilian attacking midfielder Willian from Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala, for a fee reported to be £30m, after owner Roman Abramovich personally stepped in to hijack what seemed to be a done deal between Tottenham Hotspur and Anzhi.
The move is subject to international clearance, passing a medical, and getting a work permit.
Chelsea are understood to have made an offer and agreed personal terms on thursday night, after Willian passed his medical at White Hart Lane prior to a proposed move to Spurs.
Liverpool missed out on the player last week after refusing to match Tottenham's price.
