Stoke City monitoring Aaron Hunt

Germany international striker Aaron Hunt is a surprise target for Stoke City. The player, who has been with Werder Bremen since 2001, has been told he is free to leave the Bundesliga side.

The 26-year-old has slipped down the pecking order at his current club Werder Bremen and Stoke are ready to pounce. Mark Hughes wants to bring in more attacking strength before the end of the transfer window, and for a fee of 4 million Euros Stoke are confident that they can land Hunt.
