QPR have made three loan signings on transfer deadline day, with Niko Kranjcar, Tom Carroll and Benoit Assou-Ekotto all moving to Loftus Road. All three played under Harry Redknapp at Tottenham when he was Spurs' manager.

News of the triple signing comes as Tottenham have reshuffled their squad with the departures of several other players, but it is understood Tom Carroll still has a future at White Hart Lane under Andre Villas-Boas.

Benoit Assou-Ekotto has found himself on the substitute's bench in recent weeks and told the club he wanted to leave for regular first team football.

Meanwhile, the signing of Kranjcar on a season long loan from Dynamo Kiev has surprised many, with the 29-year-old also having the option to extend his stay at QPR beyond the end of this current campaign.

"Niko's a crowd pleaser - he gets people off their seats," manager Harry Redknapp said.

"He's a top player and someone who will add great quality to the squad."
