Chelsea and Man Utd in race to sign Harry Maguire

Sheffield United defender Harry Maguire is a target for both Manchester United and Chelsea. The highly rated defender, 20, burst onto the scene back in 2011 and a number of Premier League clubs have now taken notice.

Scouts of Chelsea and Man Utd have been spotted at Bramall Lane watching the 6 foot 4 centre back in action amidst reports of an imminent move from both. 


According to The Metro, Chelsea have already made an enquiry followed up with an initial bid of £5m for the defender, whilst Man Utd's manager David Moyes is closely monitoring Maguire's contract situation at Sheffield United amidst further reports of a bid from the Old Trafford side. 


Chelsea scouts have prepared an encouraging dossier on Maguire and the Blues could make the central defender their first signing of the January transfer window.
