Barcelona midfielder Fabregas backs Celtic to qualify

Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas has told reporters that he fully expects Celtic to qualify for the next round of the Champions League. The former Arsenal midfielder scored the winning goal in the 1-0 win at Parkhead last night.

Fabregas scored a late headed goal to give his club the three points and look on course for qualification for the next round of the Champions League themselves. However, Fabregas expects to see Celtic there alongside the Catalan side.


"Celtic can beat anyone, especially in Glasgow.  It is always very tough against Celtic at Parkhead," said Cesc.


"They have a good team, play well on the counter attack and those fans push them hard all the way. Celtic has great commitment and those supporters behind them gives them a chance against anyone.


"We knew what we were coming into and what we would be up against. For me it is always special to play in that fantastic stadium and to experience that atmosphere. We were privileged to be there."
